April 12 - Vacaville, California - well another sunny day Oh darn:) 30 C - heading off to the Iris Farm to buy iris for the celebration tomorrow - great photo op
You can buy the iris by the stalk and/or buy a pot of bulbs of your favourite.  There were so many beautiful flowers I wanted to take them all home.

The countryside was great - lots of horses, adobe houses, ranches.
A local told us that California is known as the Golden State, not because of gold, but because once the rain stops all the green hillsides turn golden as the grass dries up - then the winds start up and it is fire season.

Spent the day flower arranging and setting up for tomorrow then back to Vacaville for a BBQ - everyone resting now and getting ready for tomorrow.  Everyone has been very welcoming and we don't feel  like strangers which is nice.

Not sure if will blog tomorrow night as we are leaving Sunday for Santa Cruz and will be packing after the celebration is over and cleanup complete - will try but if not don't panic the Hermits will blog as soon as we can.
