Day two - Madison, Wisconsin to Lincoln, Nebraska
Woke up to sunshine, cool breeze. 8 degrees Celsius - incredible - traveling through beautiful rolling farmland, awesome sandstone rock cuts with bank swallows into their nesting holes - when we arrived in Dubuque, Iowa, stopped at a boat launch on the Mississippi River - river fairly wide here, looked deep - still sunny temperature climbed up to 17 degrees Celsius. Saw a lot of people golfing already. In Western Iowa, saw hundreds of wind turbines starting from beside the highway and going as far as the eye could see - turbines were in farmer's fields - they just graze their animals around them and plow, etc. around them as well. they also terrace their fields something I've never seen before. Gas prices all over from 3.29 to 3.89 - no real rhyme or reason.
